Primary Concern
It Knows Your Voice
Proximity voice chat is live β€” you'll hear people near you, same as talking in person. Not everything that calls out is a person. If something answers from somewhere it shouldn't be, don't go looking to confirm it.
Terrain
The Dark Oak Canopy
The canopy is thick enough to block the sky. Under a dark oak, it's dusk at noon β€” and things that are only supposed to come out at night don't check the clock here. Stay near the water if you want to actually see anything coming.
Sightings, Confirmed
What's Out There
More than one thing is already confirmed, and they don't all behave the same way. Some keep their distance. Some don't. None of them are limited to the ground β€” check above you as much as ahead. Reports keep coming in. The list isn't finished.
Recommended
Armed
A working arsenal, not decoration β€” craft and carry real firearms. Something in these woods respects a gun more than a sword. Bring both. Bring backup.
Logistics β€” Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge
Getting In
Private, whitelist-enforced. Grab the modpack and import it into Prism or the Modrinth App β€” it pulls every mod straight from Modrinth, verified. Everyone needs the identical mod list to connect; when it changes, re-import before you play.
Provenance
About This Place
Named for StoneArmor2016's world on Lemony β€” this is what it looks like after dark. Self-hosted, privately run, nightly backups. Built by a dad who was told to make it scarier.
field manual β€” getting a friend in
  1. 1
Install a launcher. Either works, pick one: Prism Launcher or the Modrinth App. Free, regular install, nothing unusual.
  2. 2
Download the modpack. lucky-horror.mrpack β€” one file, a few kilobytes. It doesn't contain the mods itself; it's a list that tells your launcher exactly what to fetch.
  3. 3
Import it. In Prism: Add Instance β†’ Import, then pick the file. In the Modrinth App: click + Create instance, find the Import option on that screen, then pick the file β€” or just drag the .mrpack straight onto the app window, it detects that automatically. Either way, every mod gets pulled straight from Modrinth and checked against the hash on record β€” if anything doesn't match, it won't silently use it.
  4. 4
Wait for the download. It's a big pack β€” north of 400 MB. Worth doing on real WiFi before you're already trying to play.
  5. 5
Get whitelisted. Ask StoneArmor2016 to add your Minecraft name first β€” an unlisted name gets kicked on sight, mods installed or not.
  6. 6
Add the server with the full address. In Multiplayer β†’ Add Server, type mc.luckyhorror.win:25566 exactly, port included. The bare domain alone isn't reliable β€” some clients don't do the lookup that routes it to the right port, and silently land you somewhere else entirely.

Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge β€” make sure your launcher instance shows that exact version, not whatever it defaults to. The pack changes some weeks; when it does, re-import the new file before you try to log in β€” an old pack simply can't connect to a server running a newer one.
